About Taking Back April, Cheshire wedding band duo

We're Mark and Helena, a married couple and wedding band based in your area. We know what it’s like to plan a wedding, because we've been there!

We got married in Las Vegas in 2022 after a Christmas Day proposal. And so, with our own experience and having been part of other couples' celebrations, we're so much more than a live band -  you can really lean on us for support creating the perfect day that feels truly personal to you.

With roots in Stockport and a love for Cheshire's beautiful venues and people, we're local to you and love to share in the joy of your big day.

Finding the right sound for your wedding is one of the most important elements to get right, as it has such an influence on the atmosphere of the day.

We're not your average function band - we're about so much more.

Our sound is eclectic pop-rock with sing-along hits and hidden gems that get people of all ages tapping their feet and singing along. We cover everything from chilled-out 60s and 70s tunes to powerful rock anthems. 

For us, performing is about creating a joyful atmosphere where guests can belt out a nostalgic emo tune or throw shapes to a classic throwback with a fizz in hand. Those are the scenes that stay with you!
